Burger & Bean Bake
If you're looking for a quick and delicious week night meal, this one's a winner! With just a few ingredients and about 45 minutes, you can put a dinner on the table the whole family will love.
Ingredients
- 3 strips bacon
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 10 oz can red kidney beans
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown bacon. drain on paper towel.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and sauté onions until tender; drain.
- Mix together beef with bacon (crumbled) and other ingredients (except for cheese), put in container, label and freeze.
- To prepare: Thaw meal in refrigerator. Bake uncovered in baking dish at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Top with cheddar cheese and bake 5 to 10 minutes more until cheese is melted and bubbly.
